Mr. Carestia began his professional career as a Claims Adjuster for Atlantic Mutual Insurance Company. While in law school, he worked as an intern with Swift, Currie, McGhee & Hiers and then was hired upon graduation as an insurance defense attorney specializing in complex litigation cases. Mr. Carestia left in 2006 to begin his own practice—The Law Office of Michael P. Carestia. Mr. Carestia’s primary area of practice of law is pre-suit and post-suit personal injury cases involving both automobile and trucking cases. In addition, Mr. Carestia has also successfully handled cases involving sexual harassment, slip and fall lawsuits, and wrongful death claims as well as negligent security cases.
